Overview

Textbook of Linux ("the App") is an educational iOS application published by Dr Chris Paton. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the App collects and how it is used.

Data Collection

The App stores all learning data — including your progress, quiz answers, XP, streaks, and achievements — locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is not transmitted to any server.

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers. There is no account creation, no login, and no analytics tracking.

Subscriptions

The App offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions managed entirely through Apple's App Store. Subscription purchases, billing, and account management are handled by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. All data remains on-device.

Data Deletion

To delete all App data, simply delete the App from your device. All locally stored data will be removed.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
