Linux Simulator

A small, self-contained Linux command-line that runs entirely in your browser. The filesystem is virtual, so nothing you type can break anything: explore, experiment, and use the lessons in the side panel to work through the basics step by step.

There is also an iPhone and iPad version: the same terminal, with lessons that follow what you type, practice questions, and your progress kept between sessions. It works offline, and it is one purchase rather than a subscription.
